About Us

SCOIS (South Carolina Occupational Information System) is South Carolina’s official K-12 College & Career Readiness Platform (CCR). Authorized by both Federal and State Law, SCOIS is mandated (EEDA of 2005 & Bill 3726) to provide a vast array of career development resources to public K-12 schools free of charge.1 SCOIS has been providing access to career assessments, college data, career clusters, occupational information, LMI data, portfolio building, teaching plans and use reports since 1977. SCOIS is supported by all 76 SC Public School Districts and the SC General Assembly.

Students using SCOIS can better prepare their Individualized Graduation Plans (IGPs) and ensure a successful transition into the workforce. Educators using SCOIS can design more effective integrative learning strategies that address state curriculum standards in conjunction with current educational and career information, allowing for improved post-graduation outcomes.
